For adult members seeking an intense, low-impact workout, Water Polo may be your game.
Now in its sixth season at the club, players meet Saturdays from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. and play a modified version of water polo. Captain Ranjit Bhattacharjee tries to divide the teams evenly so scores are usually close, with some games ending in sudden death overtime.
With four 10-minute quarters and the constant treading of water, combined with mad sprints the width of the pool, the game can be tiring, so players are rotated to provide time to rest. Both men and women are welcome, no water polo experience required.
